Komórkowo-kominowy charakter konwekcji swobodnej od izotermicznych, poziomych powierzchni wymieniających ciepło w przestrzeni nieograniczonej
The paper presents the cellular-plumer conception of natural convection in unlimited space. This conception includes a phase of the cellular structure creation in the boundary layer and next the transformation of these structures into vertical plumes. The character of the heat transfer depends on the processes inside the boundary layer, thus not the plate dimension, but the quantity of the plate, determines the intensity of natural convection. The convection cell dimension has been analitically calculated on the base of the proposed physical model. The obtained results have been verified by the experimental investigations and compared to literature data.
