A method for predicting an airplane spin equilibrium is presented. Equations for predicting steady spin modes have been established for a rigid airplane and on assumption that the path of the centre of gravity of a spinning airplane prescribes a helix as the airplane descends. The axis of the helix has been taken vertical and the radius of the helix has been referred to as the spin radius. Test calculations have been carried out fur Polish training airplane TS-11 ,,Iskra''.
