The paper presents the process of creation and solution of coupled differential equations describing bending vibrations of the shaft with thin circular discs mounted centrically on it, rotating with a constant angular velocity. The influence of shear strains on the equations is neglected, because of their relatinely small value on a circular section of the shaft. The influence of gyroscopic moment corresponding to the discs and the shaft is taken into consideration: the discs are assumed to be rigid and discrete. At the end of the paper the relations for bending vibrations forced by transverse concentrated and uniformly distributed forces are defined.
