Minimalizacja zużycia paliwa w locie na zadaną odległość

The problem of minimum fuel consumption by the aircraft for a given distance flight has been considered for years in many papers, however, the satisfactory solution of that problem has not been found yet. In the paper it has been shown, that the solutions for control in the form of piecewise functions exist only for the flights of constant altitude, but may not exist for the more general cases. Some concepts of optimal control theory are also discussed, models of aircraft motion are reviewed and, on the base of cited references, basic directions of conducting the research are pointed out.
