Nieizotermiczny, laminarny przepływ nienewtonowskiej cieczy w krótkiej rurze
To investigate the influence of the temperature boundary condition of the third kind on the laminar heat transfer of a pipe, the energy equation is solved by applying the momentum integral method. The power-law model characterises the non-Newtonian behavior. Uniform and fully developed velocity profiles are considered. Constant fluid properties are assumed. The effect of heat generation by viscous dissipation is included. It is concluded that there can be a significant influence of Biot number, Brinkman number and flow index non mean temperature and local Nusselt number. The results are compared with the available solutions for Newtonian fluid an excellent agreement has been found.
