Szacowanie efektów bezwładnościowych podczas szybkiej osiowej deformacji próbek walcowych
The results and comparisons of different solutions for the problem of the fast compression of a thin disc are given with emphasis on the inertial effccts. The problem is very important in the experimental investigations of the materials under high strain-rate, especially for the case of SHPB experiment and also block-bar test. Systematic evaluation of the radial inertia and the axial inertia stress is performed. The conditions have been discussed under which the various components of the inertial effects dominate. For quantitative estimation of the inertial effects the numerical calculation are given for various solutions in the case of real changes of strain rate and acceleration of strain obtained from experiment. Numerical analysis has been presented for polycrystalline aluminium. Results lead to the conclusion that the inertial effects are more important at the region of strain rates higher than 10^4s^-1.
