The paper deals with considerations of stationary, coupled vibrations of the system: plate-ideal liquid. The plate lies on a free surface of liquid filling the space being bounded by a rigid surface. The model investigated describes a certain class of hydroelasticity problems of artificial or natural liquid reservoires with elastic plates resting on their surface. The general method of solution is based on the application of eigenfunctions of free oscillations of
liquid. The method is illustrated by dynamic analysis of a plate strip coupled with liquid.
