Badania procesów relaksacyjnych w poliamidzie

Stanisław Mazurkiewicz
In this work presented are the results of experimental investigation of some mechanical properties of a poliamid, a constructional plastic of home production, and an attempt is made to interpret the results obtained basing on the process of relaxation which occurs in the material. The behaviour of the material under the influence of external load is determined by the phenomenon of breaking chemical links and fluctuation processes, and by development of micro-defects. The value of activation energy of these processes depends on the stresses, their concentration and on the quantity of the kinetically active volume elements. The values of activation energy obtained from the tension, creep and free vibrations tests form a straight line. Extrapolation of that line to the zero stress level yields the value of energy of breaking the chemical links.
