Kształt równania różniczkowego cząstkowego rozwiązującego klasę powłok prostokreślnych rozwijalnych

An attempt is made to determine a uniform solution of the general system of equations governing the theory of bending of ruled developable shells made of isotropic material. The mathematical model assumed which describes the state of bending of shells is based on the linear shell theory referred to Hooke's medium. The corresponding solutions quoted in the literature concern the cylindrical and conical shells in which the middle surfaces are generated by straight lines intersecting the circles at right angles; the corresponding differential equations have various forms, differing by their order and the form of individual terms. The solution given in this paper is reduced to a single eighth order differential equation in the unknown displacement function. The differential equation applies to arbitrary loading and support conditions of the shell.
