The paper discusses a formally accurate solution of a differential equation of bending of an isotropic plate with variable rigidity. The considerations concern rectangular plates with certain prescribed boundary conditions. Plates with other boundary conditions are to be solved in a similar way. The solution in the form of a double trigonometric exponential series has been obtained on the basis on Mikusinski's operators. The coefficients of the series are calculated by means of simple recurrent relations.
